The Bride Box

So I decided to take advantage of being engaged any opportunity I get.

You know like if you go to a resort? We told them we were celebrating our engagement and got upgraded!

Any who... I found The Bride Box and knew I had to take advantage of it with the time I have left!

Well I received my first one Monday and cannot wait for more!

The subscription is a little much, but it is only going to be for a few months so why not?! It is full of such fun stuff to help get ready for the wedding!

Show Low + Wine Tasting

This past weekend was wonderful being able to get out of the heat and escape up north. We headed up to Show Low Friday evening made dinner and just hung out on the patio enjoying the cool air.

On Saturday, my parents headed up there to meet us all there and we all went over to the Wine in the Pines. It was beautiful out and was the perfect day for some wine tasting!

After that we headed out for an early Father's Day dinner since we got to spend the day with both of our dads. Then we just hung out on the patio all evening again enjoying the cool air and it actually got a little cold!

We decided to head back home in the afternoon on Sunday and actually made it home in time to grab a nice dinner and see a movie for once! If any one knows S they know that is a hard thing to get him to do!

I cannot wait for more weekends up north and having the chance to escape.

May

May was a crazy month for me and I would not have had it any other way.

I finished my bachelor's degree and was able to walk in the commencement ceremony May 3rd, celebrated my 25th birthday on the 6th, and headed up to Vegas on the 9th! Then I decided to keep that crazy train going and left for California on the 16th and went on a cruise to Mexico and then drove up the coast to San Fransisco.

Let's just say that June is going to be a long a boring month after that, but here are just a few snaps from May to get me through.

Our Oasis House

So one of the many exciting things that occurred while on that hiatus was the official purchase of our house on Oasis. We had been renting to own that house for a little over two years and as of April we are officially the owners to that house!
S trying not to smile after we signed our papers

I cannot stress how much of a relief that was for us to not be worrying if we should put money into something that might not be ours in the end. Even more so we were happy to not worry if we would have a place to live if the owner ever decided to come back seeing as how our other house was being happily rented out. Just one more thing done to help us get closer to our goal of having things taken care of before the wedding and also having things taken care of before S quits his job and takes his turn at school later this year!

Happy Weekend!

Ipsy Glam Bag

One of the best things that I have recently gotten into is Ipsy.
I love getting things in the mail and this is like getting a little birthday present each month! Each one you receive comes with a new makeup bag and a variety of different items. There are a lot of different makeup items, but I have also received nail polish and hair stuff before. The best part of it is it is only $10 a month and comes with some full size items.

Here is a preview of what some of the bags have looked like:

I cannot wait to get my June bag!

Wedding Wednesday

As stated before, there have been a lot of fun and exciting things going on since I posted back in 2012 about our engagement.

How lucky are we to have these amazing pictures?

We have officially set our date for the wedding for April 4th, 2015 at the Gold Canyon Golf Resort. We already have our photographer, videographer, and menu picked out, and the guest list started (not that it helps because the list gets longer and longer).

This month we plan to finalize the DJ, ask our bridal party attendants, figure out officiant, and then I will start looking for that wedding dress. I think the wedding dress is the thing that I am most excited about yet dread the most. For myself, I am not where I want to be physically (isn't that what all brides say?!) so I do not want to go just yet but I know that it has to be soon.

On the bright side, I have now been seeing a personal trainer for the last month and that should continue until September. I may even continue it past September, but at least it will help me get ready and moving for now.

Update 2014

Well, seeing as how it is now June 2014 I figure... why not an update? I mean I know it has only been a year and a half, but I figured 'what the h? I'll do one.'

I figured that now is finally the best time to finally jump back into blogging so I deleted everything except for our engagement post and decided to just start over.

There has been a lot going on and so many great changes and adventures that I felt I finally had the time to get back into it now.

Of course, now being about 10 months until the wedding is not necessarily the best time for people, but what can I say? I am a rebel!

I am officially done with school and now have my bachelors degree and that has really been the only thing holding me back from a lot of things. I was going to consider a Masters, but after much consideration I just cannot put myself through that kind of negativity right now.

Other than blogging I am hoping to get into some major wedding planning and maybe start learning some Spanish with my dusty old Rosetta Stone. (You know, that one that has only been used once)

Any who... here is to getting into blogging more and hoping (again) for the best.
